The story of Roiske began back in 2009, when three enthusiasts with a passion for water sports and summer tourism decided to combine their forces and establish Midnight Sun Wake Ltd. The goal was to create something new and exciting in Rovaniemi – a place where both locals and visitors could enjoy water activities and relax in the stunning Lapland nature.

Initially, the plan was to establish a water sports center in Vuokatti, but due to various circumstances and opportunities in Rovaniemi, the focus shifted to the Ounaspaviljonki area. Rovaniemi was in need of new, interesting summer activities, and it was the perfect location for Roiske to evolve. In 2018, Midnight Sun Wake Ltd was founded, marking the beginning of a place where water sports, relaxation, and the magical Lapland nature could all come together.

Along the way, we gathered a team of joyful, energetic people who share our passion for creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Our team consists of friendly, skilled, and always-smiling individuals who are here to help and make your day even better. We’re all here for one thing: to make sure you have the best time enjoying summer activities and winter adventures at Roiske.

In 2021, the vision finally came to life when Roiske opened its doors at Ounaspaviljonki. Midnight Sun Wake received a new, more concise name that better reflected our activities and values. Today, Roiske is a place where the whole family can enjoy water experiences in the summer and winter. You can try exciting activities, relax in our sauna, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Lapland, no matter the season – whether it’s sunshine or snowy landscapes.
